WORLD PEACE TOUR

Inspiring Peace, Forgiveness & Reconciliation -
Politically, Interpersonally & Spiritually

Krystaal's World Peace Tour is a series of gospel concerts across Canada, Europe and Africa, inspiring audiences to seek peace  - politically, interpersonally & spiritually.

"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God" (Matt. 5:9, NIV).

Krystaal  is an multiple-award winning, multiple-talented group of three brothers who excel in various genres of music including R&B/Pop, Gospel, Urban and World (African), characterized by superb musicianship and tight three-part vocal harmonies.

The message of peace naturally flows from Krystaal's own life experience. In 1989, their peaceful existence in Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of Congo) was disrupted by violence that caused them to flee the country and resulted in the deaths of many close relatives and friends, including their own parents. Their remarkable journey of healing over the years has included finding peace in the midst of the hopelessness in refugee camps and the public forgiveness of the very people who murdered their parents. “After forgiving the people who killed my father, my mother, and many more, personally I felt a relief, like the burden that we were carrying in our hearts was lifted and we felt peace” says Michel Lwamba, the oldest of the three brothers of Krystaal. A book entitled "Keep On Standing - The Story of Krystaal" chronicles their amazing journey.

The World Peace Tour officially launched on September 22, 2006 at Peoples Church in Toronto Ontario. Subsequent stops along the tour will include Ottawa, Toronto (return), Montreal, Sudbury, Waterloo, Quebec City, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Regina, Winnipeg and Vancouver. Into 2007, the tour will be going into England, Belgium, Germany, France and the United States, with the goal of climaxing with a number of large peace rallies in Krystaal’s native Africa.

In Africa, Krystaal is planning to hold peace rallies in large stadiums, bringing people from all walks of life together for the purpose of achieving peace and unity at a grassroots level. “We came from the Congo originally and when we left, there was a lot of hatred. We want to go back and affect that country in a positive way. We want to preach peace through our life experience and we want the churches that have been divided to come back together in unity”. There is also interest in taking these peace rallies to Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania, Nigeria and South Africa.

In North America and Europe, the World Peace Tour concerts will not only help raise the support needed to hold the African rallies, but will also bring the message of “Forgiveness, Peace and Reconciliation” to each audience along the tour. The need for peace and reconciliation isn’t just a message for those who are overseas; as witnessed by our daily news, it is also a much-needed message locally.

Although the World Peace Tour's goal is peace, the road to peace is really about reconciliation and forgiveness. All meaningful relationships - whether political, interpersonal or spiritual - go through trials and strains, if not outright brokeness; but without the ability to reconcile and forgive, there is an absence of peace.

The World Peace Tour aims to influence world peace by encouraging political leaders and their constituents to choose reconciliation and peace and to refuse the easy path of retaliation and blame; to offer forgiveness as well as to seek it.

"An eye for an eye and the whole world goes blind" - Mahatma Gandhi

Through Krystaal's personal story and music, we desire to inspire our audiences to find peace and reconciliation with each other on a personal level (Matt 5:23-24).

The World Peace Tour is also about spiritual reconciliation to God. From the beginning of creation, God has made us all to be in a close relationship with Himself; and He continually and patiently pursues that  relationship even though we continually mark our own path and fall away from Him.

"And he (God) has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God."
(2 Cor 5:19b-20, NIV)
